With only 24,916 produced, the Winchester Model 53 is relatively much scarcer than most of their other lever action models. Manufactured in 1926 with standard markings, including Winchester factory oval proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech. Fitted with a Lyman beaded blade front sight, folding leaf notch rear sight, and a tang mounted peep sight. Mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a serrated shotgun buttplate.
