Only approximately 5,704 Model 65 rifles were manufactured between 1933 and 1947. Few were manufactured in .218 Bee after it was introduced into the line in 1937-39. This example has the standard markings with a ramped hooded beaded blade front sight, a rear sight filler block, and a bolt mounted adjustable peep sight. Mounted on a smooth walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with a checkered steel buttplate.

Extremely fine. The rifle retains 90% original blue finish showing some thinning to a brown and some scattered light scratches overall. The buttplate is a mixture of original blue finish and smooth brown-gray patina. The wood is very fine with some minor pressure dents and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
