Description:

An early design from Gordon Ingram of MAC/M10 fame, the M6 was developed in the 1940s as a tubular receiver submachine gun emulating the ergonomics and appearance of the Thompson SMG. Mechanically, the major distinction was the use of a two-stage trigger, with a gentle press producing semi-automatic fire and a full squeeze initiating full automatic fire; a conventional selector switch is also supplied on some models, like this one, that disables the full auto trigger position when engaged. Blade front and windage adjustable notch rear sights, with the patent, address, model and caliber markings on top of the receiver ahead of the ejector port, fluted barrel with slanted pistol grip, right handed "SAFE/AUTO/SEMI" selector, and smooth pistol grip stock. Included with the SMG are five extra magazines, vintage manual, cleaning rod and a black leatherette transport case.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with 95% plus period refinished blue finish, showing mild handling marks and a few areas of brown patina. The wood is very good, with some scratches and dings. The case shows mild wear and tear, and is missing the handle. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) that is classified as a "Curios or Relic" as defined in 27 CFR, 478.11. These weapons are still subject to the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 479.
