Manufactured using a combination of components from Imbel and other sources, this Springfield Armory SAR-48 is a full function "metric pattern" FAL rifle, complete with functioning auto sear. Dubbed "the right arm of the free world", the FAL was initially developed in Belgium and would be one of the signature weapons on the Western/NATO side of the Cold War. Adjustable post front and tangent peep rear sights, with a ported flash hider on the muzzle, adjustable gas system, triangular handguard, smooth pistol grip, and fixed buttstock. The bolt and bolt carrier are unmarked, with the latter factory configured to engage the auto sear, and a "S/F/A" marked trigger housing with right handed 3-position selector.
