Manufactured in 1954 and subsequently embellished, with the standard Winchester address along with model and caliber designation on the left side of the barrel. Hooded and ramped beaded blade front and receiver mounted Lyman adjustable peep rear sights with a filled dovetail on the barrel. The barrel shows multiple gold band inlays and borders with floral engraving at the breech and high relief gold inlay bear on the chamber. Extensive floral scroll engraving and gold inlaid borders on the receiver and floorplate with a high relief elk on the floorplate. The bolt body and magazine follower are jeweled. Mounted with a finely figured, multi-point checkered, relief carved border, pistol grip stock with ebony forend, metal pistol grip cap, and red Pachmayr recoil pad with leather backing.

Near mint overall as custom embellished/upgraded to current configuration, retaining 99% of custom blue/gold inlaid finish with light handling marks and crisp stock checkering. Mechanically excellent.
