Manufactured in 1967, the first year of Ruger No. 1 production, and subsequently masterfully embellished (by Michael Courant according to consignor). Features a ramped blade front sight with diamond insert and four leaf rear sights (three folding one fixed) on quarter rib, along with flats for mounting a scope. The sides of the receiver have relief gold inlaid wildlife scenes (two elephants on the left and a crouched jaguar on the right) accented with engraved scrollwork and gold inlaid wire borders. Additional gold inlay is found on the grip cap, trigger guard, around the chamber, and near the muzzle. The serial number on the right side of the lever is in flush gold, along with the ".500 CAL," designation on the left side of the chamber. Includes a leather carry case, canvas case cover, 20 rounds of ammunition, cleaning tools, two screwdrivers, brush, two brass oilers, brass container, and a Leupold VARI-X IIc 1-4x scope.

Very fine overall as professionally embellished, retaining 99% of the blue finish and showing wear on the quarter rib at the scope mounting point, along with light handling marks and crisp checkering on the stock. Mechanically excellent. The case is very fine.
