PA U.S.A." on the right and left barrels respectively, and chambers lengthened to 3 inches with automatic ejectors. The casehardened boxlock action displays the late C Grade engraving with near full coverage scrollwork with bird scenes on either side of the receiver and a setter on the underside. The gun features double triggers and tang mounted manual safety switch. Attractively figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings, Deeley latch release, and horn tip inlay as well as a round knob pistol grip stock with checkered flats and replacement rubber recoil pad. The included factory letter confirms the barrel length, gauge, chokes, weight, length of pull, and drop at heel (measurements some variation with age/shrinkage) when it was shipped to Andrew Harris, a dealer from Providence, RI, on March 5th, 1925. Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): bore diameters nine inches from the breech .730/.730 inches; choke constriction .022/.041 inches; minimum wall thickness .020/.018 inches; drop at comb 1 3/4 inches; drop at heel 2 13/16 inches; length of pull 14 1/8 inches; weight 6 lbs. 15 oz.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, retaining 90% reblued finish, traces of original case colors on the action with the balance a fine silver patina, some thinning on the barrel, and overall mild handling evidence. The wood is also very fine with and added layer of varnish, a few marks, minor chipping, and sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
