Developed in the early 1980s, the M82 series was adopted by a number of military forces where its powerful chambering and long range capabilities make it useful for a number of tasks from anti-personnel to anti-material. It features standard Barrett Manufacturing Inc. markings on the left side of the magazine well. The rifle is fitted with a heavy fluted barrel with bolt-on Barrett two chamber chevron muzzle brake, ventilated steel receiver, folding bipod, flip up blade front and fully adjustable rear peep sights, Lone Star Ordnance A1 style checkered grip, and solid rubber recoil pad. Carry handle is absent. The muzzle break has been modified with a mounting end cap for the silencer includes with the lot, along with a threaded mounting bracket bolted onto the front of the forend. Includes a Nightforce NX5 8-32x56 mm scope (clear optics) and rubber lens covers.

Constructed from stainless steel, with a threaded front cap, internal expansion space, spanner wrench collar 4 inches from the rear, and a short section of .815 caliber bore at the end. Marked "JCB INC/PORTLAND OR." 38 inches overall, enclosed by the forearm when assembled.
