One of 10,000 carbines manufactured by Howa for the Thai Royal Police between 1965 and 1966. Features winged fixed blade front and windage adjustable dual peep rear sights. Thai Royal Police crest visible on top of receiver ring, but lacking any Howa markings other than a "HP" mark on the underside of the barrel. Fitted with "H.I." marked four rivet handguard and "IO" marked low-wood stock with "crossed cannons" cartouche on the right side.
