Manufactured in Yugoslavia and imported through Fredericksburg, Virginia, this is a unique example of the Zastava M80A Kalashnikov variant selective fire rifle. Post front and tangent rear sights, with a birdcage style flash hider and bayonet lug on the barrel, Zastava marking on the rear sight base, "M.80.A/1983" and the serial number on the trunnion, and the Nordac import mark on the left side of the receiver. The selector switch is in standard safe/full/semi configuration, and matching numbers are present on the dust cover, bolt carrier, bolt, and gas cylinder. Fitted with a smooth wood forearm, ribbed plastic pistol grip, and an underfolding buttstock. Also included with the lot is a set of three evidence tags indicating that this arm was in ATF custody from roughly 2000 to 2003, including two trips to the Firearms Technology Bureau for testing/examination.
