Originally manufactured by Steyr, this MP40 SMG has been restored/rebuilt by Charles Erb. One of the signature weapons of World War II, the MP40 is an open bolt gun built around a tubular receiver, a rugged and cost effective weapon fielded by every military and paramilitary force aligned with Germany, as well as such enemies as the French Resistance and Polish Home Army. Hooded blade front and two-leaf notch rear sights, with "WaA623" proofs on the receiver ahead of the magazine well and a "cnd" subcontractor mark on the rear cup. Matching numbers are present on multiple parts, including the bolt assembly. Fitted with a set of bakelite grip panels and an underfolding stock. Included with the lot are five extra magazines, an extra firing pin/recoil spring assembly, sling, loading tool, and generic modern case.
