Manufactured in St-Bonnet-Le-Chateaux, an area renowned for firearms manufacturing since the 18th century. The blued steel barrels with a ramped white beaded blade front sight, fixed high visibility rear sight on the raised rear quarter rib, a single band engraving at either breech, chambers with ejectors, and scope mounts with rings. The top of the rib is marked "EXPRESS-CHAPUIS-FRANCE", and the underside of the barrels is marked by French St. Etienne proofs. The casehardened action displays scroll and floral engraving and features bushed firing pins, double triggers, and a manual tang mounted safety switch. The attractively figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved Deeley style release and pistol grip stock with raised cheekpiece and checkered wood buttplate. Includes Franchi hard case.
