Colt Second Generation Single Action Army Revolver with Black Box and Factory Letter

The included factory letter confirms the revolver as having a 7 1/2 inch barrel chambered for .38 Special, with blue finish and grips not listed when shipped as one of ten to the Richards & Conover Hardware Co. in Kansas City, Missouri, on November 5, 1956. Assembly number "144" is found on the loading gate and front cylinder face. One of 2,881 revolvers manufactured in this configuration, as listed in Don Wilkerson's "The Post-War Colt Single Action Revolver 1955-1975." Matching serial numbers on frame, trigger guard, backstrap, and both grip panels. Includes original Colt black box, manual, user's instructions sheet, and bore brush.

ConditionExcellent overall, retaining 99% of the original blue and casehardened finishes with limited handling marks. Faint cylinder drag line and crisp checkering on grips. Mechanically excellent. The box is very fine with split lid corner.
