Manufactured by Connecticut Shotgun Manufacturing as accurate continuations of the storied A. H. Fox line, these guns do not disappoint and are every bit as beautiful and graceful as their early 20th century brethren. Blued barrels with a single white bead sight on the matted concave solid rib, light engraving and a gold band at either muzzle, "MADE TO ORDER A. H. FOX" and "CHROMOX FLUID STEEL" marked in gold on the right and left respectively, 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, and 1 1/2 inch wedges of scroll engraving at either breech along with single gold bands. The highly attractive casehardened scalloped boxlock action displays beautiful tight scroll engraving with floral bouquets, gold inlaid "A. H. FOX" banners on either side, a nesting gold inlaid woodcock on the left, a pair of gold pheasant roosters on the underside, and a gold quail on the right. The scroll extends to the toplever, trigger guard, and both tangs, the lower of which has the hand engraved gold inlaid serial number. The gun features a pair of gold plated triggers and a tang mounted manual safety switch with gold inlaid "SAFE" marking. Exceptionally well-figured, fancy fleur-de-lis checkered beavertail forend with engraved fittings, including the Deeley style release, and diamond cross section straight grip stock with matching checkered flats and bare butt. Includes an oak & leather takedown case with canvas cover, nickel snap caps, nickel oiler, and cleaning rod. Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue, casehardened, and gold finishes with limited handling evidence and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. The case is very fine. Mechanically excellent.
