Description:

Manufactured in 1962. Blued Special Steel barrels with dual bead sights on the matted vent rib, gold inlaid markings on the left of the upper barrel, import mark, 3 inch chambers with ejectors, and "**{{{BODY}}}quot;/"**{{{BODY}}}quot; (skeet/skeet) chokes. The blued action displays absolutely beautiful, Exhibition Grade gold wire inlaid borders with scrolling tips surrounding exceptionally well detailed gold inlaid game scenes consisting of a pair of pheasant cocks on the left, woodcock on the underside, and a pair of mallards on the right side. The gold scroll continues onto the toplever, trigger guard, and both tangs. The gun is unsigned though the work was clearly performed by one of the master engravers at FN, possibly either Andre Watrin or Jose Baerten. The gun features a single gold plated trigger and a tang mounted safety/selector switch with gold inlaid "S", "O", and "U" markings. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered forend with matching gold inlaid fittings and pistol grip stock with a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad. Includes a factory Naugahyde takedown case. Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .611/.614 inches; choke constriction .006/.008 inches; minimum wall thickness .037/.036 inches; 1 3/8 inch drop at comb; 2 1/8 inch drop at heel; 14 3/16 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 5 oz. Rating Definition:

Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and gold finishes with minor handling evidence and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. The case is excellent. Mechanically excellent.
