Rare Croatian Elmech EM-992 Bolt Action Sniper Rifle with Scope

After the establishment of the Croatian government following the break up of Yugoslavia, it sought to procure its own domestically produced sniper rifle. The Elmech company was assigned the task and developed two similar rifles, the EMM-992 (.300 Win. Mag.) and EM-992 (7.62x51 NATO). The EM-992 was adopted in 1992 for use by Croatian military and police units. Production of both variants ran until 1997, with the majority manufactured being the EMM-992. This specific rifle is CAI import marked on the underside of the barrel, is one of only two thought to be in the United States, and was featured in a segment of Forgotten Weapons discussing the platform. The receiver is marked "ELMECH EM-992" on the left side, with the serial number and "7.62*51" marked on the right. The barrel has an integral muzzle brake and topped off with drift adjustable fixed blade front and notched rear sights. The rifle is compatible with short action AICS-spec detachable magazines, with a polymer insert installed in the front of the magazine well for the short-action magazine size. Two compatible Magpul PMAG-10AICS magazines are included. It is fitted with a laminate wood stock with Pachmayr White Line ventilated brown rubber recoil pad. Includes a Harris style bipod, and Leupold VARI-X III 3.5-10x scope (clear optics) with rear lens cap.

ConditionExcellent overall, retaining 97% of the original matte black finish, with minor scattered handling marks, moderate edge wear, and some spotting. The laminate stock is very good, with minor handling marks and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
