Production of this rifle began in 1979 in Europe, and few were imported to the United States. It features a front and two leaf rear sights with an integral rifle grenade launcher and flip-up grenade sight. The handguard is combination vented metal and ribbed plastic, and includes sling mounts and a two position gas regulator. The FN scope is mounted using the FNC's proprietary mount. The receiver has the standard maker and howco import markings on the left side, along with a spring loaded dust cover on the right. The fire control group is a right handed "S/1" configuration. Outfitted with a smooth plastic pistol grip and folding tubular buttstock. This rifle includes a tool, manual, and a small cleaning kit in the pistol grip. Magazine absent.
