Manufactured in 1920. The left side of the barrel has the two-line address/patent dates marking, two-line nickel steel marking, and caliber marking. The upper tang has the three-line model/trade mark information, and the lower tang has the serial number and patent dates marking. A Winchester factory oval proof is stamped on the barrel and receiver at the breech. The rifle is fitted with a half magazine, a Marble Sheard blade front sight, a filler block in the rear sight dovetail, and a Lyman receiver peep sight. The forearm and pistol grip stock are checkered, and the stock has a hard rubber Winchester grip cap and a crescent buttplate. The right side of the upper tang is stamped "801 I**[triangle]." "762" and "S" are stamped on the buttplate.
