Early, commercial finish. Remington Model 11 Riot shotgun new in box and unassembled. The blued receiver has the engraved hunting scenes and is marked with "U.S." and ordnance shell insignia on the upper left side. The left side of the stock is stamped with the ordnance corps escutcheon and the inspector's initials "F.J.A.". The twenty inch, cylinder bore, barrel is also stamped with "U.S." and the ordnance shell forward of the breech. The cardboard box has the Remington logo on the lid and a yellow label that lists the shotgun's serial number, model, grade, gauge, shell capacity and barrel length. The box interior has all the cardboard packing material and green oil paper wrapping that originally came with the shotgun. The box includes papers. It does not appear that this shotgun has ever been assembled since it was shipped from Remington.

New in box with the barrel still wrapped in the original green grease paper. The box itself has some separated corners on the lid and general handling and storage marks appropriate to its age.
