Manufactured in 1942, with the sights properly absent, "R.A./flaming bomb/6-43" on the barrel and the properly offset manufacturer, model and serial number markings on the receiver ring. A parkerized Redfield scope base is mounted with metal shims and staked screws, with a Weaver Model 330 scope installed. Small "R" stamps are present on the bolt handle and cocking piece, with the handle properly turned to clear the scope. Smooth pistol grip stock, with a circled "P" on the underside of the wrist, "RA", "crossed cannons" and "FJA" on the left, "BA/6" rebuild mark on the left side of the buttstock, a green canvas sling and a shallow checkered steel buttplate with a plastic oiler in the trap.
Very fine, with 95% of the arsenal refurbished parkerized finish, showing a few hints of brown patina, mild handling marks and thick storage grease. The stock is also very fine, with a few mild dents and scratches. The scope body shows light exterior wear, with the optics a bit hazy overall and dark around the edges. Mechanically excellent.
