Manufactured from 1870-1890 with factory engraved flourishes of floral scroll on both sides of the frame. There is a faint British proof on the bottom of the barrel and matching serial numbers on the bottom of the barrel and butt. The bottom of the barrel is also marked "13671/J.R" It is fitted with checkered grips that are both hand numbered to the gun on the inside. Includes an oak case with E.C. Green interior retailer label, screwdriver, cleaning rod, and oiler.
Very good plus, retains 30% plus of the original blue finish on the barrel and 60% of the vibrant original case colors on the hammer with the balance having thinned to a smooth grey patina and crisp engraving. The grips are fine with some scattered light handling marks, crisp checkering, and retaining almost all of the varnish. Mechanically excellent. The case is fine with some mild handling/storage wear and some scattered minor staining.
