Winchester Model 1886 Deluxe
This is an excellent example of a deluxe special order early production 1886 Winchester lever action rifle. This rifle is accompanied by a factory letter dated Jan 2009 that substantiates this exact configuration. The factory used extra fancy grade walnut in both the stock and forend. This rifle was produced July 1891. The top barrel flat is marked "MANUFACTURED BY THE/--WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A.--" with breech end of the barrel marked "40-82 W.C.F.". The upper tang is marked "-MODEL 1886-" with the serial number marked on the rear of the lower tang and the two line, two patent date marking directly behind the trigger. The toggle lever action utilized on Volcanic pistols and carbines eventually evolved into the action used on the successful Henry rifle and the Winchester Model 1866, 1873 and 1876 rifles and carbines. New Haven Arms Co. Henry Rifle Rifle 44 Henry RF
This is a desirable example of a Henry lever action rifle that was manufactured by the New Haven Arms Co. in September 1862. Manufactured during the fourth month of production, this rifle displays all of the distinctive features found on the very desirable early Henry rifles. This rifle has the early, first style brass receiver with alternate rear sight dovetail and straight magazine follower slot. All of the visible serial numbers match. The receiver, stock and buttplate serial numbers are larger than the barrel serial number and utilize a slightly different font. The first style, folding leaf rear sight mounted in the receiver dovetail has a rounded top, small v-shaped sight notches on the leaf and elevator bar and is stamped "1000" on top of the leaf and "100" on the bottom of the leaf. The rifle lacks the special order sling swivel and screw fastened hook for a sling hook fitted to the left side of the stock and barrel which were not standard features on Henry rifles until early in 1864.

Winchester Model 1866 Lever Action Musket
Manufactured in 1870. This is a well above average example of a Winchester Model 1866 Musket. Winchester actually termed these Model 1866s as "Infantry Rifles" because the term "Musket" evoked visions of the unwieldy long barrel, large bore rifles that were produced during the Civil War era. This Third Model has the correct 27 inch round barrel with the shorter factory magazine tube that still carried a full 17 round capacity. The top of the barrel is marked with the two-line Winchester address/King's improvement patent dates. It has the Third Pattern receiver with the block numeral serial number located on the lower tang behind the trigger. It has a standard musket folding ladder style rear sight, fixed front sight, and straight grip stock with sling swivels and brass carbine buttplate with compartment (cleaning rod not included).
